I was born on a small farm in Georgia and have always had a love for animals and working with my hands. On the farm I raised sheep, llamas, Angora rabbits and mohair goats, I would shear my fiber animals myself in preparation for processing and spinning yarns. The entire process is hard work but it is very fulfilling and I love spinning, weaving, crocheting, and knitting. The final product of this work makes my heart sing. I also love sharing knowledge with others and teaching the arts, especially with children. My husband Michael, a fine artist, has always supported me creatively and guided me in color and design pushing me to better my art.

In March of 2024, we sold our farm and retired from owning my daycare. We now travel the United States spending time with our grandchildren and traveling between art shows and National l Parks. I so enjoy meeting new people and sharing my love for the arts. I like to demonstrate my work at the shows and encourage children to stop and touch the fibers, They love to help weave a few rows or spin roving to make a quick bracelet.
